G.S.I. Global Service International and the Zanchi Family
are pleased and honored to announce that on October 2nd 2008,
the Saint Lawrence Foundation Onlus was established.

The Saint Lawrence Foundation is a philanthropic nonprofit organization whose only purpose is to support social, educational, and humanitarian activities in communities worldwide.

Currently, the foundation is supporting the Makeni’s Fatima Institute University in Sierra Leone, a Northwestern African Country that is slowly recovering from a ravaging civil war. The majority of the infrastructures are leveled to the ground and it will take years to rebuild them.
Education is one of the most serious issues, because of the lack of schools, didactic material and teachers.

The goal of the Saint Lawrence Foundation in Sierra Leone is to create the conditions necessary to offer a good education to the upcoming generations, in order to train new leaders who will forge a path for their country away from poverty, corruption, and war.

For  this purpose, the Foundation has made possible the construction of three buildings to accommodate poor and deserving students and give them the opportunity to attend classes. The first floor of each building has been assigned to shops whose rent will pay the University’s tuition.

At this time, the Saint Lawrence Foundation is financing the creation of a Computer Lab and a University Library.
